While cannabis flowers do not have traditional petals, they are the reproductive organs of the female plant. Known as the hairy, sticky, crystal-covered bits of the plant which are harvested for consumption in various products. If fertilized by a male plant these flowers will produce cannabis seeds. If not fertilized they will continue to produce the resin that contains the active cannabinoids until harvested or reach their life expectancy.
